ha! how funny.

baseball was always my first love, and i knew j was "the one" when i discovered that he (who'd only ever live in johannesburg and london) was not just a baseball fan, but a *Red Sox* fan. that such a rarity could occur was like a sign of Fate, and it completely sealed the deal.

since introducing him to football, he loves the Pats as well - however they'll always come second. ;)

training is both exciting... and very, very boring. exciting because you keep pushing yourself past new limits. boring because... well, it's a lot of tiresome repetition.

keep up the good work!

<i>"when you’re at a game, living and dying with each play, you do feel — for a fleeting time — like part of the team."</i>

too true.

as someone who hasn't been to a game in 3 years now, watching it on TV just isn't the same :(

Awesome article. Even when the Sox get crushed, even when you paid a small fortune to sit in the seats furthest from home plate, it's still a fantastic and unique experience going to Fenway Park. Thanks for writing this.

JP's response: "HOLY FARK! Is that even Legal? Do you know how long a 1.5 mile swim is?!?"
Me: "Long."

Needless to say, we are both VERY impressed and will be rooting for you from Big Al's Camping Extravaganza in New Hampshire.

And we get to see you next week!!!
